My Work
Azma was born in Surrey and grew up in Pinner. She studied Art at Central St Martins and later did a degree in Classics, English and History of Art.
Her theatre plays include Chaos, Paper Thin, and Noor, and her radio play, The Escape, was produced by BBC Asian Radio Network. She was commissioned to write a short film, Reversion, by the Central School of Speech Drama.
Her first novel, The Secret Arts, was published as an e-book by Dean Street Press. Her latest novel. Spider, was published by Datura in 2023. She was awarded BFI Early Development funding for her feature film, Vampire in Bradford.
Azma lives in Northamptonshire and is currently working on a new novel and a screenplay.
